Privacy notice
This explains exactly what happens to what you type. The short version: it stays in your browser.
Last updated 26 August 2026.
What is stored, and where
Everything you enter — your name, optional email, strengths, achievements, MBA focus, target industries, your Superpower Statement, project choice and next action — is saved in your own browser’s local storage, under the key teamsmiths-career-companion-v1.
It is not sent to a Teamsmiths server. There is no account, no database and no copy held by anyone else. Nobody at Teamsmiths or at your university can see what you wrote.
What this means in practice
- Your work is available only in the browser you used, on the device you used.
- It will not appear on another phone or laptop unless you export the file and load it.
- Clearing your browsing data, or using a private window, removes it permanently.
- On a shared or university machine, anyone using the same browser profile afterwards could open it. Export and then restart the journey if you are on a shared computer.
When AI is involved
Generating a Superpower Statement, project suggestions or a sharpened next action may send your strengths, achievements, MBA focus and target industries to an AI provider so it can structure them. Requests ask the provider not to retain the content.
Your name and email address are never included in anything sent to an AI provider. If no provider is configured, or a request fails, the application generates suggestions from a fixed template instead and nothing is sent anywhere.
Everything a model produces is a draft. It is shown to you to edit, and nothing enters your roadmap until you approve it.
Analytics
The application records which stage was reached — for example that a Superpower was approved. These events contain no participant content. No analytics provider is currently connected.
Your control
- Export. Download everything as a JSON file from the Summary Card or the dashboard.
- Delete. Restarting from the dashboard permanently removes the saved journey from that browser. There is no other copy to request.
- Correct. Every generated line is editable before you approve it.
Questions
This is a pilot tool for MBA cohort sessions, not a production system with hosted accounts. If you have a question about it, ask the facilitator running your session.
